Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Since 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American families and businesses saved $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. Each Pella® product meets or exceeds ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. What impact will this have on you? Not only could you find a decrease to your heating and cooling costs, you’ll also help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are all specifically designed and customized for your home, meaning no two projects are alike. Our wide variety of products make it nearly impossible to discuss pricing without first bearing in mind your needs and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it useful to send out a Pella sales representative who can provide you with a quoted project price upon seeing the project site itself. To accelerate the quoting process, your Pella® sales representative is prepared with a computer and a portable printer so that they can give you all the quote information you’ll need—once the sales representative has been given the opportunity to consider the requirements of the project and brings them to life with your vision.

In addition to offering a broad variety of first-rate products to choose from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you great window and door products at affordable prices, offering you a chance to make the home improvements you want to while building great value into your Annapolis area home as you do it.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We suggest that you use a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning solution or use an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. You can also make your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Apply the mix to a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. Do not use glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based as they have a tendency to form streaks or create a film that attracts moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses reliable installers who are certified to install Pella products. They must complete a thorough set of training courses so that your windows and doors are installed properly and meet Pella’s strict warranty standards. We find the best Annapolis-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Prior to beginning our relationship, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are fully protected by liability and workers compensation insurance. Aside from Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.

What's different about buying replacement windows and doors from local Pella® showrooms versus buying from retailers like Lowe’s?

Your Annapolis Pella branch offers services and support that “big box” stores can’t perform. Our experts are highly-trained in selling, installing, and servicing Pella Windows & Doors. Working with a dedicated Pella sales team, project manager, local service technicians, and professional Pella installers means that your renovation will have the knowledge of our whole team. We commonly use the term “single source accountability”, meaning that there’s no one to chase down regarding a product, installation, or warranty issue. Simply contact our office, your sales representative, or our project manager with any questions or concerns you may have and we will get to work resolving the issue.

Why is Pella® the right choice for my home?

There are several important reasons why Annapolis homeowners pick Pella for their replacement window and door needs. Pella was founded in 1925 and has remained privately-held the entire time. Each of our high quality windows and doors are produced with high standards and serviced by Pella’s professional Direct Sales Network. Unlike other manufacturers who sell exclusively through lumberyards or big box stores, Pella has dedicated replacement window and doors showrooms across the United States and Canada. This unique way of operating our business gives the homeowners in Annapolis a highly personal experience with the support of a local to Annapolis, Pella-certified team. Whether you are contemplating the beauty of wood, the strength of fiberglass, or the low maintenance of vinyl—Pella has a high quality, energy efficient and durable solution.
